BAUMHOLDER, Germany (May 8, 2008) - Slovenia army Capt. Luka Senicar has built a collection of antique phones through friends he's made attending Combined Endeavor.

Senicar said he started collecting them in 1994, at his first Combined Endeavor.

"I asked the Slovakians if I could buy one of their old military field phones -- that was my start," he said. "But instead, they just gave me one."

In his 14 years of coming to CE exercises, Senicar has received all but 12 of his more than 180 phones through his connections here -- he's received four phones this year.

"Everybody knows I collect them," he said. "When I was TDY once in Colorado, they gave me a phone."
