U.S., Austria and Spain coordinate

BAUMHOLDER, Germany (May 5, 2008) - U.S. Navy Petty Officer 2nd Class George Sopko (left), an electronics technician, and Austrian Capt. Wolfgang Mader (right) coordinates a test with Spanish 1st Lt. Juan Carlos Ortiz (middle) during Combined Endeavor 2008.  All three members are deputy chiefs for Regional Group C and are responsible for facilitating communications tests with the eight nations in their group.  More than 40 participating nations use CE 08 to plan, prepare and practice using a full range of communications equipment, policies and procedures prior to deploying for NATO missions and emerging, real world crisis situations such as the evacuation of Lebanon and response to natural disasters.
