U.S. and Croatia perform base network test

LORA NAVAL BASE, SPLIT, Croatia (May 2, 2008) - U.S. Air Force Tech. Sgt. Christopher Sweet (left), Macedonian Army Capt. Darko Nikolovski (center), and Croatian Army Sergeant 1st Class Andrija Gilezda perform a "ping test," a basic network connections test, during exercise Combined Endeavor 2008. Sweet is the data transmission supervisor with 1st Combat Communications Squadron, Nikolovski is the operations supervisor with Signal Batalion and Gilezda is the network manager with 2nd Brigade. More than 40 participating nations use Combined Endeavor to plan, prepare and practice using a full range of communications equipment, policies, and procedures prior to deploying for NATO missions and emerging, real world situations such as the evacuation of Lebanon and response to natural disasters.
